Koda is freight management software built for UK freight forwarders, by a team that combines decades of hands-on forwarding experience with decades of software engineering. We built the platform we wished existed.

Meet the team

Jo Jeffries

Strategic Director

Jo began her career in import operations and customs at a global forwarder. She went on to build a career in logistics, handling major accounts that included one of the UK’s largest supermarket chains. She has extensive experience in cargo security and is an experienced auditor of aviation security procedures. Upon moving out of freight, she has built a career in project management and operations leadership. This includes 13 years running her own business, delivering projects for clients and now leading remote teams.

She brings that project discipline to Koda, and she designed the neurodivergent-informed approach behind its interface, which reduces mental load for operators. Jo also leads Koda’s partnerships and funding.

Colin Jeffries

Commercial Director

Colin has worked in UK freight forwarding for more than 30 years. He started in import coordination and supervision at global forwarders, set up an ocean import department from scratch, and went on to manage import operations across all modes of transport. He is also an AEO and customs compliance specialist.

Having worked with a wide range of freight management systems over the years, Colin knows what works and what doesn’t. That experience is the foundation of Koda. Built on a real understanding of how freight operations run, Koda saves businesses hours of manual data entry and reduces errors, giving your team more time to focus on managing your customers’ expectations.

John Goodwin

Technical Director

John has worked in software development for over 25 years. He has experience working in a broad number of industries, building systems and managing teams for banking and finance, pharmaceuticals, medical education, the motor trade, and aviation and aerospace as part of the senior leadership team.

John is responsible for the Koda platform; accessibility, security, stability, usability - and turning Colin and Jo’s vision of what freight forwarders really need into reality.
